Is about fun, adventure, teamwork, leadership, friendship, involvement and learning valuable life skills.  

What We Do

Our troop holds weekly meeting, has monthly weekend outings and year round activities.   We attend annual summer camp and an annual high adventure camp.  Our outdoor activities include tent camping, cabin camping, hiking, backpacking, cycling, shooting, canoeing, kayaking, caving, fishing climbing, snow tubing and more! We are focused on scouting requirements and rank advancement.  We have STEM activities including a Robotic's Team and annual catapult competition.


Our scoutmaster is Mr.Joe Burt , who has previously served as one of our Assistant Scoutmasters, has been a part of Troop 793 for several years.  In addition, Joe was in a leadership position in Pack 761 for many years prior to moving to Troop 793.


Troop 793 holds regular troop meetings on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM @ Glenelg United Methodist Church (GUMC).

On the First Wednesday of the month we hold a Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) meeting at 7pm and a Parent Planning meeting immediately following it. All parents are considered part of the Troop's Committee and requested to attend. 


Our treasurer is Mr. Mark Hudson. If you need to send in a payment for anything, please make the check payable to "Troop 793" and mail it to him at: 7213 Patton Drive, Woodbine, MD 21797 
Please ALWAYS remember to use the memo line on the check to indicate what the money is for and include your scout's name.
